Wings. Strings. Meridians: A Blighted Bestiary

Tara Jane ONeil

The Book contains drawings and paintings Tara has made, mostly since 2003. Many of them were drawn on tour, in the back of moving vehicles, some in her secret garage studio.

You may have seen TJO’s artwork before on her album covers, in books and magazines, or in galleries—but those only hinted at the depth and breadth of her artistic output. Here at last they all gather together in one place, this book, filled to the brim and layered deep.

The Album is a musical companion to the artwork. Like the drawings, this collection of live tracks, four-track recordings, and film scores reveals the insides of TJO’s music: the fine-boned song structures, the loose guitar lines drawn around them, the twilight wash of her voice.
