About The Artist While Laurie has been creating ever since she can remember, she started fusing glass, and her business 'Kiku', in 2004. After visiting an indie craft fair called DEPART-ment in Chicago, she was so inspired that she went and bought a kiln and taught herself how to fuse glass. Since then she has supplemented her jewelry line with knit iPod cozies, skirts, silkscreened skivvies and handmade knitting needles.
