Hey, guess what. We're turning ten! Our birthday is coming up... buyolympia.com started back in July of 1999, and we're still at it. We wouldn't still be here today if it wasn't for your support and encouragement, and we thank you! To celebrate our birthday, we've asked some of our favorite artists and co-conspirators to create versions of the buyolympia logo -- the one you see above is by talented comic artist Aron Nels Stenkie. We'll be rotating over twenty different ones as the year rolls on. We haven't been resting on our laurels though, as we've added a bunch of cool new products over the past month. Check it out:
Sarah Utter's latest t-shirt explores the daily ride a lot of us enjoy. Don't let your transfer expire and show your public-transportation pride with this bus-savvy shirt. Get on board. Printed on 100% Organic Cotton.
Artistic genius, political activist, painter and decorator, mythic legend or notorious graffiti artist? The work of Banksy is unmistakable and truly moving. If you've never seen it before, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
We've brought back Emily Ryan Lerner's classic design in new colors. Three windows:
The Bicycle Transportation Alliance is a non-profit membership organization working to promote bicycling. We've teamed with them to help raise money for bike-related causes. This little beaver grabbed his bike and won't stop riding!
Miroslav's books are amazing and stunning pieces of time-travel. A vacation in Paris inspired him to create children's travel guides to big cities in the world. The guides are large, colorful books done in a fantastic watercolor style.
When we moved from Olympia to Portland, we packed everything up... but we didn't unpack everything. We recently unearthed a box of great Queenbee originals. Amazingly simple, wonderfully utilitarian and ready to be yours.
Spring brings new scents to behold; flowers bloom and birds sing. Dark garnet grapes, burnt sugar, fir needle oil, river water, coconut milk, and a swirl of amaranthine poppy seeds... those are just some of the ingredients.
A new issue of Make/Shift has come in. The magazine creates and documents contemporary feminist culture and action by publishing journalism, critical analysis, and visual and text art. This issue takes on friends, families and strangers.
In this imaginative ABC, acclaimed artist, designer and children's author, Bruno Munari shows how fun letters can be. This book is a classic in both design and style, for kids and adults to love.
Lilli's latest work is enchanting and moving. A family is seduced by the song of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and how each member reacts to the Creature's siren call in The Lagoon is the crux of the story.
After graduating from college and spending a magical year abroad in Japan, Kate felt ready for anything. But, like many a postgraduate, she needed some time to figure out just what that anything was.
Bikes To Rwanda provides cargo bicycles to cooperative coffee farmers in Rwanda. The goal is to improve the quality of life in the coffee growing region. Proceeds from the sale of this t-shirt go directly to the execution of these programs.
Field Notes Moto: I'm not writing it down to remember it later. I'm writing it down to remember it now. New styles of book are now available; grid paper, plain paper, lined paper.
Nikki McClure Cards & Originals We've just got a new batch of cards back from the printer and they smell and look delicious. Printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper. There's also a small collection of Nikki McClure originals that are available.
Another great example of re-use. When you print a project like Jill Bliss' beautiful posters, there's bound to be copies that don't quite make it -- misprinted or otherwise damage pieces.
A fun, sometimes hilarious and to-true-and-to-funny collection of comics. Lonely hearts, romantics, and even cynics pore over missed connection ads in search of love, to gawk and giggle, or out of curiosity.
Sesame Letterpress Bird Coasters A new set of bird coasters just flew in. These are thick, comfortable coasters that are a perfect complement to any kitchen, lounge or roaming field. The Heron, Lark, Wren.
Little Otsu has added a new set of artists to its fantastic stable; Tornoto artists Gracia Lam and Selena Wong. They've got a few new exciting cards as well as the darling Jennie Smith.
Plants and Their Application to Ornament Notecard Box Set We like flowers, and we like classically illustrated flowers. These cards are beautiful to behold, and sending their wonderful images will transport you and the receiver through time.
Created for people of the world who love fashion, music, art, & make believe. Lula is gentle, whimsical and ethereal in tone, mixing high fashion to fall in love with and interviews that feel like late night chats with people you wish you knew.
