The two-disc PDX Pop Now! 2008 compilation album is a sonic snapshot of the year in Portland music. An eclectic, inclusive audio tour of the sounds emanating from the damp basements, clubs and warehouses of one of the most musically vibrant cities in the world, this fifth annual installment in the non-profit PDX Pop Now! compilation series features tracks from nationally celebrated bands alongside contributions from lesser known, locally prized gems. Includes previously unreleased tracks from Bltzen Trapper, YACHT, Pink Martini, The Joggers, Talkdemonic, Yellow Swans, Horse Feathers and Faux Hoax (ft. members of Menomena and Gang of Four) among others. All proceeds go to support the PDX Pop Now! non-profit organization, including our yearly three-day, free, all-ages festival of Portland music.
