I love these handsome fellows. here's from their website: The Dead Betties, from Brooklyn New York, formed in 2002 with a unique sound and a mission to be branded as one of the most entertaining bands of all time. Their first Ep "Relic" was a smart, sugary blend of violence and sexuality that earned the band shows at prestigious venues all over New York, and a slot on their first tour with Davies vs. Dresch in 2004. The band toured extensively throughout the east coast with their next "Self Titled" Ep, a challenging blend of noise bass, swirling melodic guitars, frantically tumbling drums and vocals that soulfully depict a dark end to an even darker world. After leaving many an east coast audience completely speechless, the band took their act out west in the summer of 2004, playing the Homo-a-Go-Go festival in Olympia with The Gossip and scattered shows in the surrounding area. Following the success of their first western jaunt, The Dead Betties were invited to tour the west coast with Brazilian act Dominatrix and Tami Hart's latest, Gang Way. After earning a distribution deal with Heartcore Records in LA, The band returned home to Brooklyn to record their first full length, "Summer of '93". It is not easy to forget the intensely caustic, resonating effect of this band, especially after seeing them live. In the vein of trailblazers Babes in Toyland and My Bloody Valentine, The Dead Betties do not fit in. With the release of "Summer of '93" in 2005 plus plans to extensively tour the U.S. and beyond, The Dead Betties look forward to electrifying every audience and destroying every preconception in sight
